The Worst Fantasy Football I Ever Played

The British Newspaper and web portal SUN, has started a new Fantasy Football Manager Game. I know that in USA Fantasy sports are very popular, but here I am talking about soccer, not American football. And of course, i play English Premier Fantasy. I can not imagine to play some other league … maybe Champions League. For those who don’t know what i am talking, it’s the game where you select football players, and you score points for their performance in real life. For instance, if the player you select score goal you get 6 points, if he make assist you get 2 points, etc, etc… And in most cases Fantasy Games are season games, played from August, to the end of season until May. You select your team for 5£ and manage the team with substitutions to the end of season. The prizes can be really high, as 100.000£ (British Pounds) for first prize in games run by Mirror or Sun. There are the other competitions, where participation is free, but prises are much lower.

What stink in New Sun Fantasy Game? First it’s weekend game. You select team and how the team perform for the weekend, you can get cash prize. Ok, its not so bad, actually it can be fun, although I think the best is when you run the team the whole season, competing for monthly and overall prizes. But, now I am going to the point….according that I am playing Sun season game, I am getting emails from them, so I have been informed about the start of new game. And they are saying 20.000£ first prize, one team cost 2 £ and you can have as many teams as you like. I said, lets have fun, lets try the game. I registered, took one team for 2 £, look in fixtures and injury table, what I always do when i am changing something in Fantasy game, and i went on menu to select my team. And there was big surprise. There was some stupid fantasy football animation figure with name Ron, who selected 15 players for me, and i am able to change only 3 players! I couldn’t believe! To select only tree players, and they are calling that Fantasy Manager. Its like someone select the team for sir Alex Ferguson, and says him “Hey Alex, buddy, you can change only 3 players”….Stupid Ron, stupid Game!

Yes the prizes are high, but the form of the game is the worst I ever seen, and I have played many fantasy games run by different hosts. Stupid Ron, stupid game!

I didn’t realize there was European Fantasy football. It seems like a pretty interesting idea.

hi Layla, yes interesting idea. Fantasy sport has begun in America even before internet, but now it is popular in Europe, too. Especially in United Kingdom.

Anyway, I’m from Serbia in Europe, and as you can see from the post I do play European soccer Fantasy . I just exposed that Fantasy sport has begun in America. It’s the fact.
