Though many people do not see difference on the beginning, social news sites are a little bit different from bookmarking websites. As the name is saying the focus should be on news, so you can submit or vote for the particular news. Regard to that, when submitting a site to social news websites be sure that story is in news format.

This is the list of social news ( without bookmarking) websites. It’s the list of 30 websites that have the high page rank or solid traffic. Along each social news site I’ve put Google page rank, Alexa traffic rank, number of site’s pages and inlinks (according to Yahoo!). Also there is the column with info when the each site has been founded. List starts with higher page rank on the top and this is just a part of link building tutorial.
