What’s better indicator of the value of an online site than a group of people who have assembled into a community and suggested their chaps that they really should “check out” a particular Web site? Here is a list of top 50 social bookmark websites, places where people share their links with purpose to recommend one another great bargains and good sites to visit.
Important: You have probably seen lists that combine bookmarking and social news sites and it can be confusing. This list separates bookmarking from social news or similar websites (except sites that include both features). On the other hand you can access the list of top social news sites here.
Most of these bookmarking sites have a high page rank and also great traffic. Getting backlinks to your site can boost your Google and other search engines rank. Along each social bookmark site I’ve put Google page rank, Alexa traffic rank, number of site’s pages and inlinks (according to Yahoo!). Also there is the column with info when the each site has been founded. List starts with higher pages rank on the top and you may also want to check full link building guide.
Note: Originally this was a list of exactly 50 bookmaking sites, but some sites seems to be out of business, so I’ve excluded sites that do not load anymore.
