How to bookmark a part of the page?
June 14, 2008
I want to share really cool tool. You are probably using bookmarking sites to save interesting pages, articles or whole sites. But what about when you want to clip just a part of the text, one paragraph or just one sentence? Fortunately there is a solution in the form of web 2.0 tool. It is very useful. Instead of bookmarking whole web page, with this web 2.0 tool you can clip exactly what you want, and at the same time to have organized those memos. Try Clipmarks by yourself, but before that let me tell you how easy is for use.

What’s A Trackback?
June 8, 2008
In a nutshell it’s a type of linkback. It’s a process for bloggers to send a notification and demand for linkback once they write something in one of their documents that directs to other blogger content. Once a weblog author publishes a post, the other blogger receives a notification, and through moderation process can permit or refuse the trackback. They moderate it just like a regular comment. If they permit it, trackback will show in comment sector of their post, with linkback to the first blogger.
Image and Photo Edit in Easy Way
May 15, 2008
I have used online tools for images resizing. But, recently I discovered a perfect web 2.0 tool for full photo editing. Its better and advanced than any other I used before. You can put your images online and fix it and adjust it as you like. Its called Picnik. And the best part it can be synchronized with Mozilla Firefox as add-on. Bear with me, because I’m going to show you how.
First, at Picnik You can add your image from all around the web. Get it directly from MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, or you can just start from your own album from your computer or from web cam. Quite simple.
MySpace Applications vs Facebook Applications
April 24, 2008
Today MySpace has officially opened up its Application Gallery to all users after launching it in beta last March. There has
been already over 1,000 applications authorized and added to the gallery. You can find the icon for the Applications on MySpace main page on front panel and a link on control bar panel. If you are Facebook user you know what I am talking…adding games to profile, to-do tools, music players, etc, etc. And I just have added Sudoku application and few more.
After launching casual games earlier this year, this is new boosting for MySpace. Online Casual Games is a market that is growing rapidly ( research are saying 4 times faster than internet itself ), and now adding this Applications (beside privacy , for me that is the reason I much more liked Facebook,) can add fuel to the fire for MySpace.
I much more like to use Facebook, but lets see what this move on MySpace can bring. And here is one neat application I found. Its name is Fuser and it displays your Facebook wall on MySpace. To use it you must already have both accounts.

web 2.0 accumulative searching tool
April 23, 2008
Sputtr is really helpful tool to use when you have searching in your mind. If you are trying to find contact on Facebook, blog on Technorati, video on Youtube or Google images, this accumulated web 2.0 tool enable perfect selection of your search aim (see point on the picture). Sputtr gives opportunity to search through application you need with just one click.
Just bookmark this page and when you have to search the web, whichever direction your search is, it will promptly and easily provide you with your demand.

The best part is that sputtr enables complete customization. You can add Twitter or MySpace application, and exclude amazon, ebay or wikipadia for example, and fit everything to personal needs.
But when we talk about customization it can cause some problems if you do not pay attention. Namely, this is not membership site and your customization is based on browsing cookies. So if you delete your cookies your screen customization will be reset to default, loosing all changes.
A lot of applications and different logos can cause difficulties to ordinary people and people outside of the tech industry. And to read more about these difficulties follow article from readwriteweb. You will also find more info about Alternative Search Engines Day.
Every tool which enables easier and faster internet surfing is very welcome from my point of view, and Sputtr will have the place in my web 2.0 tool library.

Be aware in Promoting Your Business/Site on MySpace
April 11, 2008
The question how to promote business on MySpace can be debatable. But here I just want go through MySpace Terms of Service. If you are using MySpace in commercial purpose it’s important to read terms carefully, because MySpace is meant to be an un-commercial website (for members) by nature. But there’s a opposite between blatant commercialization and bringing up a product or service you put up and provide a link as a helpful and useful resource to visitors of your site. This post will have a look at the chances to promote a business on MySpace by offering info about whether or not your way of business promotion is allowed on MySpace and information how to push your business without being accused of spamming MySpace.
Lets see what’s in the MySpace Terms of Service!

One of the conditions of the MySpace, what all members can see when opening Myspace account, interprets as follows:
Non-commercial Use by Members. The MySpace servicing are for the personal role only and can not be applied with any commercial strives (take out those that are specifically approved by MySpace.com). Illegal and/or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services, including collecting user names and/or email addresses of Members for the purpose of sending unsolicited email or unauthorized framing of or linking to the MySpace Website is prohibited. Commercial advertisements, affiliate links, and other sorts of allurement may be removed from Member profiles without notice and can result in termination of Member’s account. Appropriate legal action will be taken for any illegal or unauthorized use of the MySpace Services.
So, here we see that MySpace is produced for non-commercial usage unless Myspace has approved the usage of a member’s page for commercialized aims. Thus be aware while designing a MySpace page to assure it will not be viewed as a commercial website by MySpace administrators. Be aware that many MySpace profiles have been deleted by administration.
If you are unsure ask questions.
If you are doubtful of whether or not your MySpace page is considered as commercial website, you should consult with MySpace administrators. Reviewing the terms of usage agreement can supply a lot of fact, but some users could yet be unsure on the possibleness that their site will be fined if administrators view it as commercial in nature.
Contacting MySpace is an easy action. Members can use the, “Contact MySpace” link at the MySpace homepage. There is an option to select a subject and a subtopic. And once this is done MySpace supplies some preliminary information which can be to the point. If these information isn’t of value to the member, they can e-mail an elaborated request to MySpace.
So, Be aware….
If you decide there’s a chance for you to boost your business through MySpace, be assure the promotional material does not pass over the line and go into spam. Spamming is dealt very seriously by the MySpace admin and it may effect in links or message being deleted or even membership may be revoked.
This is important to understand. Links to your ecommerce website structured into your MySpace website is not counted as spamming. Depending on how it’s applied it may not been viewed as advertising, and consequently prohibited.
Still, placing a link to your ecommerce website on each Myspace page you visit would be reckoned as spam. These persons may or may not be interested in the message you send, but even if they’re curious, posting these unsolicited links to many members is often considered to be spam.
You may work really hard to create long list of friends, and one day BOOOOOM, your MySpace profile is gone…..don’t allow that!

Spreading the online presence
March 30, 2008
How to spread online presence and where to get free online signature maker? Actually it can be amuse, and i will write about some sites where is possible to make such sig. But first i want to add that i am preparing first project for this blog, and it will be video tutorials how to set a blog and how to monetize it. Explanation how to optimize the blog for search engines and how to use web 2.0 to drive the traffic to site or blog. And it will be completely free. I estimate to finish that in a month.
Lets go back on the theme of this post, and that is how to make online signature. At hyplet you can make small cards very
easy, fill them with personal informations, and publish them on blogs, social network sites like Facebook, MySpace or any other. It is possible even to put it in emails as signature, but i found when you put the address of your website in the card, and when you click on it, it goes to hyplet home page, instead to website posted there. Its not good. But it can be used without a site, and it can be excellent to post on social networking sites.
The other site where is possible to make common signature and to use on social network sites, blogs, forums, or in emails is mylivesignature. Just write your name or nick name, go through step by step process to get generated code…take the code and paste it where you want. Here is the example with my nick name

Web 2.0 To-do
March 13, 2008
I will write about web 2.0 tool I found very useful. It is very important to be organized in business. I know that so often i don’t have time to do everything i planed. And i was really opposite to things like to-do-list, or time management, because i thought that people who are doing that are slaves of own business. Wow, i was so wrong, because when you organize the time, you have more time for things which are not related to the business, that is for relaxing, fun, etc, etc. And guess what, i found how web 2.0 can be very good resource here.
I am using voo2do tool to organize my projects and tasks. It also have feature to set task priorities, to estimate time for completing the task and to measure the time when the task starts. So, instead of using pencil and paper, or to store such tasks on my computer, it is much better to use online storage. Besides voo2doo, i recently found rememberthemilk and blablalist, but i am not yet registered, and webasyst where i registered, but i found that navigation is a little bit confusing.
But there are some features worth further investigating like:
- Create and instantly publish online manuals, tutorials, books,
- and fantastic feature to embed online shopping chart into own site, without any software. Webasyst process everything, and to embed the online store into site, just take code and embed into the site. Thats it. It is possible to embed it into any site or blog, or even Myspace page. The prices are affordable. If there is less than 50 purchase a month, webasyst will process for free.
So i recommend voo2do and webasyst and maybe there is worth to estimate other resources.
