How to bookmark a part of the page?

June 14, 2008

I want to share really cool tool. You are probably using bookmarking sites to save interesting pages, articles or whole sites. But what about when you want to clip just a part of the text, one paragraph or just one sentence? Fortunately there is a solution in the form of web 2.0 tool. It is very useful. Instead of bookmarking whole web page, with this web 2.0 tool you can clip exactly what you want, and at the same time to have organized those memos. Try Clipmarks by yourself, but before that let me tell you how easy is for use.

clipmarks | bookmarking web 2.0 toolFirst you need to register on the site and to install clipmark button on your Mozilla Firefox browser. After that every time you want to bookmark any part on the page (text, image, or even video) you just click on the button on your Mozilla browser and you will be able easily to clip any part you wish.

The clips will be saved for you in your Clipmarks account, and they can be viewable by other members, or you can make them private.

In addition to that you can post clips to your blog (WordPress, blogger, typepad, live journal and other blogging platforms) embed to MySpace, Facebook, or email them to friends. With this neat web 2.0 tool you can print your clipmarks and save paper that way, without being annoyed trying to copy and paste to a Word document.

Get clipmarks and watch short video to make clear how it works.

Similar service is Evernote. You can compare and chose one as favorite of these two.
