Why WordPress?
Fact is, if you know to copy/paste, you will know to setup and run your WordPress blog successfully. So the point is that you can concentrate on publishing and providing the value to your readers. I am sorry if you think that WordPress will fall down from the sky and set itself. Of course, you will need some time to set up the blog properly and to pick the adequate theme, upload plugins… but the point is it’s easy for average Internet user.
Relax and be my guest, because we have complete walkthrough step by step WordPress tutorials with lot video sessions. But before we jump into tutorials read this article and see benefits of using WordPress as publishing software.

Which to choose, WordPress.com or WordPress.org
At first your blog host is integrated on wordpress.com, which means that your weblog is integral part of the system. Opposite to that, wordpress.org provides open source blogging software that anyone can download and use for free.
If you’ve NEVER used WordPress before, and don’t have your personal web address, or you don’t feel ready to add WordPress to your existing domain, then you can get at www.wordpress.com free weblog and start messing around with it. Wordpress.com is great, but trouble is that you do not have full control. You cannot use advertisement and it is integrate hosted, so your domain name will look like this www.my-blogname.wordpress.com. Anyway, it’s worth for beginning.

- Install WordPress Search Engines Optimized following video tutorials
But if you intend to have business oriented weblog, it is best to have self hosted weblog (free software downloaded from wordpress.org). And in that case, URL will look like this www.my-sitename.com/blog (if you are adding it to existing site), or www.my-blogname.com (if you prefer to install weblog as a home page).
If you download and settle self hosted WordPress software (it’s I advise you to do) it will bring you much more options and functionality, for example advanced themes and many plugins which you can add to your blog (this is why I view WordPress as Mercedes Benz in blog publishing). WordPress plugins are simple to install add-ons which enable different functions to the blog. For example SEO plugin (this makes search engine optimization easy) or language translation plugin…or many others. Don’t worry, we are covering which plugins are must have and how to set them in our WordPress Video Tutorials. If you follow those blogging steps, in few days you will have search engine optimized blog, and in few months you will see great results in driving traffic and writing techniques.
This is end of the 1st step from How to create a successful blog.
