Automatic Back-up of Online Bookmarks
February 26, 2009
diigo - bookmarking service
About a month ago, when I downloaded Mozilla Firefox version 3.1 (still in beta) I lost part of my Firefox bookmarks. Though I were partially aware of that possibility I was lazy enough to skip backing up process of the bookmarks, thinking that my regular hard disc back up is already doing that. I was wrong, since your Firefox bookmarks need to be exported as a file to be backed from the hard disc.

Web 2.0 Toolbar is coming
February 4, 2009
I didn’t post anything here at the blog in January since I first took a rest from all online activities and then I had a bad luck with Firefox bookmarks loosing them with activation of Firefox 3.1 beta. Then I tried to remember few bookmarks I used often from my Firefox and transferred them to Ma.gnolia. If you’re the ma.gnolia user you know what happened few days ago – they had a crash, and nobody is available to reach own bookmarks.
Anyway, last week I spent adjusting toolbar, which is web 2.0 oriented with many submit and blogging tools. Actually I created this toolbar for myself few months ago, and used it successfully. These days I adjusted and added few more tools and links and now I am willing to bring it to public.

Mozilla’s Firefox vs Google’s Chrome
December 14, 2008

Do opening pages depend so much on browser’s speed? As I know web surfing mostly depends from web server and Internet connection. Yes, when you’re starting a session with Google Chrome it opens much faster than Firefox, but in further surfing there is no big difference. Of course, I f you have many Firefox add-ons it will open new tabs a little bit slower than Chrome, but if you start Firefox in the safe mode (click start menu, choose “run” and type “firefox.exe -safe-mode”) it will start session as fast as Chrome and will open tabs as fast as Chrome.
