Blog So People Will Read It!
July 26, 2008
How can you find an audience actually to read what you have written? Your blog has been created and you have started to post. Weblog will automatically bring some free traffic through pinging and organic SEO traffic, but this always can be amended and blog traffic can be increased. Consider using the tips below to increase your readership.
- First, be sure to apply good quality content. What is written in your blog should be interesting enough to keep people’s attention, because the goal is not only to increase the traffic, yet to retain readers, too. So, it is important to update your weblog regularly. To default every new post is bringing new readers. Use keywords in your content to help you blog to get search engines traffic.
- Become a part of communities that are relevant to blogging. Talk to other bloggers about what has worked for them, and do not be afraid to take their advice.
- Take the time to publish an RSS feed. Here is a weblog directories submitter tool.
- Take care in choosing the titles of your subjects and articles. Think about what potential readers will be searching for, and incorporate keywords into your titles.
- Participate in other people’s blogs. Comment on them and pass feedback. Most comment features offer you the chance to post a link back to your weblog, and you may interest that blog’s owner or a reader of that blog who may be interested in what you have to say.
- Set up your email and forum signatures to include the link to your blog. This is easy promoting and traffic generator that you take the time to arrange once. You never know when a potential reader may get through your link and become fascinated with what you have to say!
- Write articles and submit them to online article directories. I have listed some major article directories here. I must confess that I was lazy and I haven’t submitted any article to directories for this blog yet, but its proven traffic provider and will do that certainly. Most directories allow you to place an author’s byline at the end of the article. You can include a link to your blog in that byline.
The most important thing to remember is that a solid readership does not evolve overnight. It takes time before the blog can become successful. Spend time reading other blogs, making comments, and getting to know those writers. Have fun with it, and allow your blog to grow naturally on its own.
Blogs can be wonderful traffic tools, wonderful for social networking and making friendly relationship. With a little effort and some time, you can acquire a readership full of loyal, interested friends or partners.
If you want to be notified the next time I write something, sign up for RSS feed. Thanks for reading.
